A Brief History Of Phunnyguy.com
Phunnyguy.com (pronounced FUN-E-GUY, not P-HUNNY-GUY or P-HOONEY-GUY)was purchased in 1997, and launched as a website in 2000. The website focused primarily on Dan's stand up comedy. Since then the website has gone through many different looks, with the one you see before being the most current. However in addition to being a showcase for Dan's stand up, phunnyguy.com is now also a showcase for talents as a web designer, and digital publisher of websites, including a Pay-Pal and eBay enabled store. Phunnyguy.com also serves as a showcase for Dan as it relates to audio, photo and video production on and for the internet. Each time the site has gotten bigger in terms of the number of pages. In 2001 phunnyguy.com became the launching pad for the other domian names I came up with and purchased over the ensuing years. Some of the domain names I have recently decided to sell in favor of new ideas and concepts. In 2005 phunnyguy.com hit a road block and remained untouched for three years. In 2008 phunnyguy.com got a serious facelift, as did the network of sites associated with it, and now currently continues on into the future.


Who Is Phunnyguy.com
Phunnyguy.com is Dan Friedman. (me) I also serve as webmaster, marketer, support, and all around owner of my network of sites. I have also been a stand up comic for over 10 years, working extensively arouond the U.S. at comedy clubs, bars and colleges. As a result the mainstay of the network (phunnyguy.com) that Dan owns and operates is comedy based. Why Phunnyguy.com and not Funnyguy.com
The name phunnyguy comes from playing video games online. In the early days (pre- 1997 )when I was on the internet, most of the funnyguy screen names or handles were taken, as was the domain in 1997. As a result I came up with the name phunnyguy for online gaming purposes, chat rooms, bulletin boards and the like.The name stuck and eventually I bought the domain name. As a result I now have website from which to entertain, enlighten and sell things from. In addition, I do play regularly on XBOX 360 LIVE by the nickname phunnyguy. Yeah its really me.
