2006 V6 Pony Package Ford Mustang
My Black Mustang is a 2006 V6 Pony Package Ford Mustang. The V6 Pony Package comes with an interior upgrade as well as a suspension upgrade in the form of sway bars and slightly larger struts. This is a slight handling upgrade that really sets the Pony Package apart from the other V6's. When shopping for the vehicle I noticed the car handled more like its GT big brother that the standard V6's did, and it also had the 60's smaller foglights in the cener grill giving the car a nice retro look. This Mustang is a 5 speed manual transmission which was very hard to find in Southern California. I might also add that this car in no way looks like what I envisioned when shopping for the car. While I have kept true to my overall vision of creating a classy yet subtle muscle car, the Pony Package was a great starting point for the car. I could not be happier with this car in terms of price, performance, and affordability. I also might mention that this is a daily driver that I show at car shows on occasion.
I am also very particular about my car and keeping it clean.
As a result since I have had my Mustang I have become notorious
for having a shiny black Mustang at the events I attended with
all of my clubs. . I maintain every inch of this vehicle on
a regular basis. While a daily driver will show some wear, you
can still comb your hair in the reflection on the hood and people
marvel at the engine bay when I tell them the mileage is over
50,000 miles. I use and have used Meguiars Car Detailing Products
for years to keep my cars looking nice. In June of 2008 I was
lucky enough to meet the requirements for sponsorship from Meguiars
Products, and officially have my 1st sponsor. In additon Hardcore
Mustangs is a sponsor as they have done some of the exterior
mods on my car, and are the official sponsor of Stangpede to
which I am a Public Relations Officer. I am currentlly looking
to add some more appearence and a few performance modifications
to the car, as well as pursue sponsorships from other companies
in the automotive circle and beyond.
While I am an officer in Stangpede and have a very active role,
I am also an active member of the Mustang Owners Club of Caifornia,
The Beach Cities Mustang Club, and the Black Mustang Club.

My
Opinion On MustangsA lot of people ask why I got a 4.0 V6 when I could have had a V8. The two most determining factors were price and insurance. When I drove the Pony Package I felt I was as close to being in a GT as my pocketbook would allow. I might also mention that I have never owned anything but Fords and have always wanted and loved The Mustang. To me a Mustang is a Mustang, no matter what the engine or what the year, and one of the coolest things for me is seeing what other people do with theirs. The Mustang is the most modified car in the world today, there are more aftermarket companies and add ons sold for Mustangs of all years than any other car. Its a name that has been around for over 40 years, and it is synonmous with quality. It only took about two weeks before I was hit with the modding bug. So far the only performance modification she has is Magnaflow Dual Exhaust. She also has some "show" mods if you will. I have plans for other performance modifications in the future as well as some show mods. All of the items I have added to my car I have photographed and filmed to the best of my ability.
